The 2024 Kingston Climate Change Symposium is set to return to Grand Theatre, bringing together environmental enthusiasts, experts and community leaders to explore topics under the theme ’Balance: Climate, Nature and Technology.’
Scheduled for Jan. 29, symposium speakers will discuss how to create balance to advance climate action, delving into strategies and solutions that promise a healthier, more resilient climate future that preserves the rich tapestry of our planet's ecosystems.
Ali Hassan, the dynamic and engaging host of CBC's Laugh out Loud and moderator of Canada Reads, will once again return as event host, joining a remarkable lineup of speakers.
The keynote address will be delivered virtually by Bob McDonald, one of Canada's most prominent science journalists, who has been bringing science education to the public for more than 40 years.
This keynote will follow a thought-provoking discussion led by Ewa Jackson, Managing Director at ICLEI Canada, where she will share practical insights and strategies to empower individuals and local groups to contribute to the global effort to advance climate action.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session following each speaker, as well as during the panellist discussion on biodiversity.
Tickets are available at KingstonGrand.ca for $20 each or $15 for students.
