About the Member:

Town Homes Kingston is a housing provider that owns and manages 397 apartments and townhouse units at several locations in the City of Kingston, Ontario Canada. Some of our units are available to low-income tenants receiving rent-geared-to-income (RGI) housing subsidies, with that application process administered by the City of Kingston's Social Housing Registry.

 
Highlighted Sustainability Projects:

2020:

  • Implemented 3 different energy efficiency projects at 3 different sites: high efficiency boilers, LED hallway lighting, and elevator modernization

2019:

  • Town Homes Kingston has undertaken projects at several of their sites to upgrade windows, thermostats, lighting and insulation

  • They are evaluating more opportunities to switch to LED lighting where possible, to convert from hydro to natural gas as well as to upgrade furnaces and other equipment

  • Kingston Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation (KMNPHC) has also been working with other local community agencies to establish a community garden network - the Inner Harbour Community Garden Collaborative – to support local food and provide healthy alternatives to individuals, families and children who may be struggling to provide healthy meals on a tight budget. The Collaborative includes Loving Spoonful, The Gathering Place, and the John Howard Society as well as KMNPHC
