Notes and Links from "An Evening with Seth Klein"

On Monday, May 16th, author Seth Klein (A Good War) spoke at an online event for Kingston Residents about the climate crisis and the strategies we can take to mitigate it. Please see below for a letter of thanks from the organizing committee, a link to the webinar recording, and additional helpful links.

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

Thanks for showing up for our shared future and the one we decide to leave for our grandchildren.

We had an overwhelming response to this invitation to talk seriously about the climate emergency. You join a growing circle of citizens who are asking big questions about what each of us can do.

Here is a link to Seth Klein’s “Mobilizing Kingston for the Climate Emergency”. Please share widely!

Also, reversing and reducing GHG (greenhouse gas emissions) down from 420+ ppm is the only way through the climate emergency. If interested, here is a daily CO2 dashboard to watch

Continue that conversation towards a more fair, cleaner, healthier, safer, world for our next generations right here, right now. The path and the answers will begin to appear before you. You will discover and join forces with the other helpers in your community.

Lastly, a donor has given copies of Seth Klein’s “A Good War – Mobilizing Canada for the Climate Emergency” to the Kingston Frontenac Public Library to be borrowed and has left 25 copies at Novel Idea for the community on a first come first serve basis.

Learn what best practice is working, what you can do, and what you can support.

Sincerely,

Your community friends, Dan, Jim, Joan, and MaryJane

P.S. Until next time, and there will be a next time, here are just a few resources, groups, and possible local actions we have found to be very helpful.
