On the evening of May 24th, Sustainable Kingston held its first annual Evening of Recognition. Bringing together approximately 200 individuals from Kingston and across the province, the evening celebrated local sustainability success stories from 2016.

At the Evening of Recognition, Sustainable Kingston handed out its inaugural Sustainable Leadership Awards to the following recipients:

• Sustainable Leadership Award - Champion of the Year: Gillian Moss
• Sustainable Leadership Award - Organization of the Year: L’école élémentaire publique Madeleine-de-Roybon
• Green Economy Program - Greatest Overall GHG Reduction: Homestead Land Holdings
• Green Economy Program - Greatest Percentage GHG Reduction: Kingston & Frontenac Housing Corporation
• Green Economy Program - Most Engaged Member: Trailhead Kingston
